The 2025 Rocky Mountain Instinct Powerplay SL Alloy 30 is a lightweight, high-performance e-MTB that blends the playful handling of a traditional trail bike with the quiet efficiency of electric assist. Powered by the all-new Dyname S4 Lite system, this bike is designed to feel natural and agile while providing enough punch to crush steep climbs and extend your days on the trail.

The Instinct Powerplay SL A30 is built for riders who refuse to compromise on handling. At just under 20 kg, it sits in a unique category: nimble enough for technical descents but powerful enough to feel like a full-power machine on the way up.
The Dyname S4 Lite Advantage
The centerpiece of this build is the Dyname S4 Lite drive system. It is 30% lighter than the standard Dyname 4.0 but still delivers category-leading 75Nm of torque and 700W peak power.
- Seamless Power: The system reads your rhythm and modulates power between the drive and the rider for a truly natural feel without the high-frequency motor "whine" found on other systems.
- Integrated Jumbotron: The top-tube integrated display allows you to monitor speed, battery life, and assist levels while keeping your cockpit clean and clutter-free.
- Range Ready: The internal 480Wh battery is fully removable for easy charging. For those massive alpine days, it is compatible with the Overtimepack 2.0 for an additional 314Wh of capacity.

Built with a FORM™ Alloy frame, the Instinct Powerplay SL is as durable as it is versatile.
- RIDE-4™ Adjustment: Using a single Allen key, riders can quickly fine-tune geometry and suspension kinematics to match the terrain and riding style.
- Mid-High Pivot Suspension: The Smoothlink system provides 145mm of rear travel, ensuring the bike stays composed through rock gardens and remains efficient during technical climbs.
- Mullet Compatible: While it rolls on 29" wheels, the frame is MX-compatible, allowing for a 27.5" rear wheel setup for even more agility in tight corners.
